Fully Commit - Fully Trust
“Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.” Proverbs 16:3
When we commit and fully trust our works (our lives, situations) to Jesus then He will cause our thoughts to become agreeable to His will. We can camp there for a while because in each one of us there is a place we war in our minds about why something is happening. Pastor Tim made some great points about this on Sunday.
Until you can let Jesus change your mind about a difficult situation and you can see the goodness in it you will miss what He is wanting to teach you. We must become content with where we are so we can see why we’re there. Jesus will always come after the parts in us that is not agreeable to His will. Anything that is in our hearts that hinder His love and cause us to not trust Him- He’s coming after it. The agape love He has for each one of you propels Him to pursue you. Unfortunately, you can actually stop the move of the Lord in your life by how you respond. If you are in turmoil due to a situation, you will not see Jesus there. You must sit down and enter into His rest to see Him and hear Him.
His promise is to cause your plans to be established and succeed but only when you commit everything to Him and fully trust He has your best moving forward.
What area of your life is He inviting you to fully trust Him with? Let your thoughts become agreeable with His will. Most of the time it does not look anything like we thought it would, but it is always so much better.
