Jesus is the Truth

Jesus says, “When you continue to embrace all that I teach, you prove that you are my true followers. For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives.” John 8:38

Most of us have heard this passage like this- you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. We have evidence that just knowing information does not set us free. This word know is the same word as Adam knew Eve and they had a son. This word means intimate. In The Passion Translation, it says to continue to embrace. When you embrace someone and remain there you begin to know them. Your heart softens to them, and you find yourself becoming one with them. True freedom comes when we embrace Jesus, not just the idea of Him, but the fullness of who He is. Intimacy reveals all the deep things about who we are. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed of exposing those thoughts and beliefs to the light of His love. Let Truth know you. Let Truth reveal His true nature to you. His love and grace abound. This is where we find true freedom to be who we are designed to be. Freedom from pain, brokenness, anger, disappointment and fear. We can live free with love, joy, hope, wholeness and a bright future for generations to come. Your true freedom opens doors for many generations.
