Who Told You That?

Yesterday we talked about being re-identified by the voice of Yeshua. In order to be transformed by His voice we have to eliminate all other voices. This can be very difficult unless you filter everything you hear, think and believe through this one question from Yahweh.

“Then Adam and his wife heard the sound of Yahweh-God passing through the garden in the breeze of the day. So, they hid among the trees concealing themselves from the face of Yahweh-God. Then Yahweh-God called Adam’s name and asked, “Where are you?” Adam answered, “I heard your powerful presence moving in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so, I hid.” “Who told you that you were naked?” God said.” Genesis 3

WHO TOLD YOU THAT?

We all know this story. Eve listened to a voice that lured her away from the instructions of the Lord. When they both believed the lie, they began to see themselves in a way Yahweh had not designed them to see. Why would Adam and Eve hide from an all knowing, all powerful, everywhere all at once God? The initial lie they believed led to more delusion in how they saw things. “Who told you that you were naked?” They had begun to listen to voices that were Yahweh’s.

We must filter every thought and belief through this question. Who told you that?

Open the eyes of our hearts Lord! We want to see you. We want to hear you. Help us stand in the light of your glory so we can know you and be known by who you say we are.
