Re-Identified

We are designed to be changed by the voice of Yeshua as He speaks to us. We do not have to be what our past experiences call out to us. Yeshua made a way for us to know Him personally and intimately. Do you really know Him?

“When Jesus came to Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples this question: “What are the people saying about me, the Son of Man? Who do they believe I am?” They answered, “Some are convinced you are John the Baptizer, others say you are Elijah reincarnated, or Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”

“But you—who do you say that I am?” Jesus asked. Simon Peter spoke up and said, “You are the Anointed One, the Son of the living God!” Jesus replied, “You are favored and privileged Simeon, son of Jonah! For you didn’t discover this on your own, but my Father in heaven has supernaturally revealed it to you.” Matthew 16

WHO DO YOU SAY I AM?

The disciples were influenced by what others said about Yeshua. They repeated what they’ve heard. In the church, and most of us reading this have only repeated what we’ve heard about Him. We’re influenced by what others believe but do we know Him in such a way we can speak out like Simon.

How did he know Yeshua was the Anointed One? He received the revelation of who He was directly from Abba. Something happens when you get a revelation from Abba yourself. There is a transformation that happens. A re-identification takes place.

“I give you the name Peter, a stone. And this rock will be the bedrock foundation on which I will build my church—my legislative assembly, and the power of death will not be able to overpower it! I will give you the keys of heaven’s kingdom realm to forbid on earth that which is forbidden in heaven, and to release on earth that which is released in heaven.” Matthew 16

When we come to know Yeshua in an intimate way it will change who we are. We can hear Him identify us as His own regardless of our past or future failures. Yeshua changed (re-identified) Simon to Peter after this revelation took place even though He knew Peter would fail Him in the future. What is He saying to you? What identity is He speaking over you?

Look at what this new identity allowed Peter to do. Yeshua says, “I will give you the keys of heaven’s kingdom realm to forbid on earth that which is forbidden in heaven, and to release on earth that which is released in heaven.”

Our identity as beloved, one belonging exclusively to Him gives us authority in the earth to release all of heaven and to bind up that which does not belong. Are you forfeiting your authority in any area because of what you see or hear? Let His voice speak over you and believe what He says about you.

He is the lover of your soul!
